Diamond Ledge

Directions: Take I91 to 20 West to Granby. From Granby, take 20 West toward West Granby. Immediately after the post office, take a left at the Y junction to West Granby Rd. then take a left onto Simsbury Rd. then your first right onto Broad Hill Rd. Please drive slowly by the horse farm and park at the small dirt parking lot on the left.
Hike up the gravel road and turn right into the woods opposing the large brown Holcomb Farm Trail sign, Continue up toward the 60 foot cliff and you will arrive at the base of Diamond Ledge. There is some potential good bouldering if you continue to hike around the right of the cliff. If you hike from the base of Diamond Ledge toward the left and up the side of the cliff you will see a large 12 foot boulder and off in the distance past that you will see Chimney Rock about 100 feet further.

St. Johns Ledges
Kent, CT
Directions: From I84. Head toward Route 8 North. Follow route 8 to Torrington (exit 44) Take route 4 west to Cromwell Bridge, cross the housatonic river, and head south on route 7 to Kent.
From route 7 in Kent. Head west on Route 341. Turn right on Skiff mountain road. Turn right at the fork onto a dirt road marked with a sign, "Appalachian National Scenic Trail." Follow the dirt rd until you see the Appalachian trailhead on your left.

The approach: Follow the white marked appalachian trail into the woods. There is an upper and lower cliff. Take a left on an unmarked well broken in trail to get to lower cliff. Or continue straight on the AT to get to the Upper cliff.
Whitestone Cliffs (waterbury)
Located in Mattatuck State Forest

Route 8 North to Exit 37 (rt 262) Take a right and the end of the ramp. Turn right onto 262 East then turn right on Waterbury Rd.
Take a left on Spruce Brook Rd. There will be a small parking area on the left by the gated forest rd. Hike up the forest rd uphill. Bear right at the fork, then turn right onto the Blue Blazed Trail. There is an unmarked trail that takes you to the base of the cliff on the left.
-If you reach the old pavilion, you've gone too far.
